Results vary
from patient to patient. Most people report a dramatic increase in energy, and exercise capacity once the dose
gets close to optimal. A general rule of thumb is the longer some things take to occur in the normal aging process, such as
a decrease in muscle mass and bone density, the longer it will take for the therapy to work. It may take 6 weeks to 6 months
therapy to see a measurable increase in muscle mass, bone density, memory, and decrease in body fat. Once therapy is optimized,
you enter maintenance. Laboratory Assessment and Monitoring $450 During this Monitoring phase, there will be a significant cost
reduction as less drug therapies will be required. Routine laboratory testing is required for monitoring the
therapy, and will be conducted every 3-4 months, depending on each patient’s individual needs. The fees for these laboratory
services are typically covered by your insurance provider. A targeted panel of laboratory tests and physical measurements
will be obtained in order to monitor the therapy and track your program on an ongoing basis. Phase I, II, and III of the treatment
program include the following: • Initial Physician / Dieitian Consultation/Maintenance Visits • Laboratory Evaluation •
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Drug Costs •
Human Growth Hormone Replacement Therapy (HUH) HIV • Medical/Nutritional Services/Body Fat Analysis • Lifestyle Counseling/Stress Management •
C13C/Chemistry Profile • PSA (Prostate-Specific
Antigen) • Vitamin Deficiency Test • Body Conditioning • Lipid Panel, i.e. Cholesterol Evaluation • Renal and Liver Test •
Comprehensive History and Physical Exam •
Monitoring of Progress Testosterone (tess-toss-ter-own) is
hormone used in our HRT program. It is found in Men And Women. Men have higher levels. People who need Extra of Replacement
may have: Sexual Symptoms including Decreased Libido, Difficulty Achieving Orgasm, Diminished Intensity of the Experience
of Orgasm, Diminished Sexual Organ Sensation,Decreased Sexual Fantasies, Male Loss of Body and Facial Hair, Decreased Spontaneous
Erections, Erectile Dysfunction, Testicular Atrophy. Men with Severe Hypogonadism, and some cases of Mild to Moderate
Hypogonadism: Hypogonadism in Healthy Aging Men has been refered to as "ANDROPAUSE". It has been estimated that
hypogonadism affects up to 4 million men in the United States, with its prevalence rapidly increasing with age, and that more
than 50% of healthy men older than 60 years have low levels of free testosterone. Muscle Weakness, Diminished Muscle
Mass and Strength: Especially in Arms or Legs Increased Abdominal Body Fat: Women with Waist Size Over 35 inches
and Men with Waist Size Over 40 inches Diminished Energy, Sense of Vitality and Well-Being, Poor Concentration, Changes
in Cognitive Brain Function, Irritability, Depressed Mood and/or Mood Changes Hot Flashes, Diminished Bone Density
General Anxiety or Insomnia Substance Abuse and Smoking Other Medical Problems like Anemia, Anorexia,
High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol and/or Triglycerides, Diabetes, Digestive Disorders, Osteoporosis, Obesity, Arthritis,
HIV/AIDS, Metabolic Syndrome, Insulin Resistance and others. THERE IS NO CONSENSUS IN THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY REGARDING WHAT
BLOOD LEVELS DEFINE MALE HYPOGONADISM. VALUES LESS THAN 300 AND IN SOME CASES 350 ARE OFTEN USED. LEVELS OF 50 FOR FREE TESTOSTERONE
ARE USED. Even Normal Testosterone Blood Levels are Not Always Reflective of Functional Levels. The Medical Community's Understanding
of Hormone Levels is Evolving. Cells and Tissues May Not be Responding, similar to a person with Type II Diabetes with normal
insulin levels and insulin resistance. Sometimes the Body Produces Higher Levels of Blood Testosterone to Compensate for Resistance.
This is why Interpreting Blood Levels of Testosterone is Very Difficult. It is Important to have a Comprehensive Medical History,
Physical and Review of Symptoms Listed Above when Interpreting Lab Values. MOST BLOOD CIRCULATING TESTOSTERONE IS BOUND TIGHTLY
TO SEX HORMONE-BINDING GLOBULIN AND IS NOT BIOLOGICALLY FUNCTIONAL, OUR DOCTOR OFFERS BIOAVALIABLE TESTOSTERONE INJECTIONS.
ONE OF THE MOST COMMON CAUSES OF ABNORMAL TESTOSTERONE BINDING IS SEEN IN MEN WITH A WAIST SIZE GREATER THAN 40 INCHES AND
IN WOMEN WITH A WAIST SIZE GREATER THAN 35 INCHES. THERE IS COMPELLING EVIDENCE FOR THE IMPORTANCE OF SEX HORMONE BALANCE
IN PREVENTING DIABETES AND HEART DISEASE. TESTOSTERONE IS ALSO A CORONARY VASODILATOR AND REPLACEMENT THERAPY HAS BEEN SHOWN
TO REDUCE TOTAL AND LDL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS.
